Buckle up for Transformers 3!!!

I'm so insanely hyped for this movie it's not even funny. It literally could be robots fighting for 2.5 hours and I would love it (I expect it to be). This video is correct...MICHAEL BAY owns. If you don't agree go back to your Wes Anderson... hippie.

4 Quarters With The Superbowl Movie Previews

1. 36 seconds. That's how long it took for everyone to forget about "Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen" and start salivating over "Transformers 3: Dark of the Moon." I knew this movie was going to be dope, mainly because Michael Bay was directing and he is the MASTER of destruction, but this, with it's alien invasion plot, new babe, and Optimus Prime taking care of BUSINESS on a city street with swords really just shattered my brain. Sure the plot may not be incredible but this is the summer popcorn flick to beat! And it shot in 3D!

2. "Transformers" isn't a movie, it's a spectacle of metal and fire, but "Captain America," this is a movie man does this look cool. It's the first period piece super-hero movie and based off this trailer, it appears that the film has captured the comic book feel expertly. The transformation of scrawny Chris Evans to beefy Chris Evans is cool, but the real badass part of this trailer is the reveal of the Red Skull! As a kid, the Skull always freaked me out, I mean he's a evil nazi commander with a red skull for a head, and based off this image, I'd say they knocked the look out of the park.

3. Yeahhhh! No trailer got a bigger reaction from my superbowl party than this one. I don't know what it is about fast cars, Vin Diesel, hot babes, guns, The Rock, guns, explosions, scorching hot babes, trains, fist fights, techno, and cars/people falling off cliffs that gets people excited, but I'm pretty sure people like those things.

4. Emotional Mystery! That was the theme of the trailer for JJ Abrams and Stevein Spielberg' s"Super 8." While I thought the music was a little too magical/cheesy the imagery here was definitely interesting. Abrams junkies have already found clues in the trailer revealing the monster, but in the end I included this one because it makes me wonder just what is going on here. It's a period piece but there is a military/monster/magic prescense. Those three M bombs are like the Spielberg trinity and it looks like this film could deliver.

Hollywood's New Villain: The Moon!

EVIL!

Have you ever thought how shady the moon is? Unlike the sun which give power to all things and makes us tan, the moon just chills up there and controls our tides. The sun is always the same, a big ass circle in the sky, the moon is in a perpetual identity crisis, always shifting up it's shape on us. Well if you've ever thought this things, consider yourself one of the masses, because Hollywood, with it's looming crop of "moon movies" has now determined that the moon is a shady evil deity that wants to kill us.

The first movie is the recently announced "Apollo 18" from the Weinstein Brothers. The film is the latest in the "found footage" genre and tells the story of two astronauts stuck on the moon with some evil little alien buggers trying to kill them. The "found footage" is supposedly the tapes that made of the encounter which have been classified by Napster, I mean, NASA. I've read the script and it's a cool two person thriller which does a great job of not letting us see the evil moon based aliens, but still making them terrifying.

But wait, stop your mooning, there is more. Titled "Dark Moon," this film is set up at Dark Castle Pictures, the production house behind films like "Gothika" and "The Reaping." It's a little different from "Apollo 18" in that we actually see what the astronauts are up against and it's full on hardcore Sci-Fi insanity with aliens and alien structures, but that's all I'm saying. It also has the moon rover, which is the greatest non-fictional vehicle ever.

And if those two aren't enough, there is also the long rumored Doug Liman and Jake Gyllenhaal moon thriller coming eventually. Yes, I know it's a little bit of moon overload, but just in case you can't handle all these small little art house films, the new "Transformers" flick will also have some moon related business, Pink Floyd be damned, check out the title below.

No Megan Fox in Transformers 3!

It was just announced that Megan Fox will not be returning for Transformers 3. Great news, I found it annoying that Fox thought she was a huge part of the transformers success. Listen I'm here for the robots, the explosions, the vehicles turning into robots, the explosions, the robots, the destruction, and the babes. Which before we forget, it's not like there is a short supply of hot babes for these movies. Check out Isabel Lucas from Transformers 2 below
